King County ranked first in Washington for resident earnings in 2018

King County ranked first among counties in Washington by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of King County residents was $42,772 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 865,627 households with a population of 2,163,257.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Whitman County with $17,153 per year after adjusting for inflation – $25,619 less than King County. It had 17,910 households with a population of 48,593.
