Home prices increased in Seattle during the fourth quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2021 in Seattle rose by $83,000 while total sales increased by 22.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2021, there were 1,415 homes sold, with a median sale price of $883,000 - a 10.4% increase over the $800,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,159 homes sold in Seattle in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Seattle for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,956, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2021.
