Seattle median home prices rose by 8.1% in the second half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2021 in Seattle rose by $66,800 while total sales increased by 22.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2021, there were 3,134 homes sold, with a median sale price of $891,800 - a 8.1% increase over the $825,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 2,555 homes sold in Seattle in the second half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Seattle for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,956, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2021.
