Stolen Firearm Recovered During Narcotics Arrest Downtown

Thursday afternoon at approximately 1:30 p.m., Seattle Police officers assigned to the Community Response Group arrested a 25-year-old male for dealing narcotics in the 200 block of Yesler Way.

While observing the male near Prefontaine Place, officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for dealing suspected crack cocaine. As officers approached, the suspect ran from the officers. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect was found to be in possession of narcotics and a stolen firearm.

The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act, Investigation of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Investigation of Possessing a Stolen Firearm.
