Robbery Detectives developed probable cause to arrest a suspect who was involved in an armed robbery of a dispensary in May in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood.

Police located the man in a hotel business in the 16700 block of International Boulevard in SeaTac around 3:00 p.m. yesterday. A team of detectives and officers with the Major Crime Task Force, Gun Violence Reduction Unit, SPD’s patrol, King County Sheriff’s Office, and Federal Bureau Investigation assisted with securing the location.

SPD SWAT contacted the suspect and four other subjects at the location. Initially the suspect refused to exit the business, but the Hostage Negotiation Team responded and established communication which led to him being taken into custody.

After searching the hotel room, police recovered 6 handguns, 2 rifles, a large amount of cash, and marijuana.

The 18-year-old male suspect was booked into the Federal Detention Center in SeaTac. The other suspects, all juveniles, were booked into the King County Child and Family Justice Center for their associated crimes.
