Rep. Pramila Jayapal, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 7th district since 2017, addressed several pressing issues in a series of tweets dated April 1, 2025.

In a tweet at 16:35:01 UTC, Jayapal criticized Donald Trump and Elon Musk for what she described as "launching the largest attack on free speech in America in decades." Jayapal emphasized her resolve by stating, "But we won’t be silent."

Later, at 17:28:51 UTC, Jayapal addressed a significant error by the Trump administration concerning the deportation of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia. According to her tweet, "The Trump administration mistakenly abducted and deported Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, a father who fled gang violence and has protected status, to an El Salvador mega-prison." She demanded action from the administration to rectify the situation, highlighting their alleged hesitance to bring him back.
