Triple-A baseball is set to begin on March 25 with a full schedule of games in the International and Pacific Coast Leagues, as announced by Major League Baseball. The season will open with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (New York Yankees) facing Buffalo (Toronto Blue Jays) at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, while Las Vegas (Oakland Athletics) hosts Salt Lake (Los Angeles Angels) in the final game of the night.
This event marks an important moment for fans who follow emerging talent, as many of baseball’s top prospects will take the field on Opening Day. Notable players include Konnor Griffin, ranked number one overall by MLB, leading Indianapolis (Pittsburgh Pirates), and Walker Jenkins, ranked number fourteen, playing for St. Paul (Minnesota Twins). Other highly ranked prospects such as Colt Emerson from Tacoma, Max Clark from Toledo, and Travis Bazzana from Columbus are also set to start their seasons.
In addition to showcasing future stars, this Triple-A season will introduce several experimental rule changes aimed at improving pace of play and increasing action during games. These new rules will be implemented differently across various levels of Minor League Baseball.
Fans can watch all Minor League Baseball games through MLB’s digital platforms or Bally Sports Live. Subscribers to MLB.TV or MLB At Bat can access their favorite team’s minor league affiliates at no extra cost via apps or online platforms.
