Washington Beach Volleyball earned three victories out of four matches at the Boise State Beach Bash, according to an April 11 announcement. The team recorded wins over South Florida, Florida International, and No. 19 Boise State while falling to No. 11 Grand Canyon.
The event showcased Washington’s depth across all five flights, with multiple pairs contributing crucial points in each dual. In their opening match against South Florida, the Huskies secured a 4–1 win highlighted by a comeback from Emma Hohenauer and Katarina Pantovic at the top spot. Niki Egan and Mariana Tomasova added a straight-set victory before Mayamay Brown and Ellis Hay extended the lead. Zoe Pabarcus and Alina Urzua clinched the match for Washington.
Against Grand Canyon, Washington lost narrowly with a score of 4–1 but saw Ella Tyus and Sarah Wilcock claim a hard-fought point at the No. 2 position in three sets. The following day featured a dominant performance as Washington swept Florida International 5–0, winning four courts in straight sets while Egan and Tomasova rallied for a three-set win on court three.
The Huskies concluded their weekend with another strong showing against Boise State, winning four of five courts to take the dual 4–1. Hohenauer and Pantovic led off with a straight-set victory on court one; Egan and Tomasová followed with another comeback win; Brown and Hay contributed yet another three-set result; Towne and Urzua sealed the match on court five.
Looking ahead, Washington will return home for its first—and only—home matches of the season at Alki Beach in West Seattle beginning Friday, April 17. The schedule includes contests against Portland, Florida Atlantic, Boise State again on Saturday morning for Senior Night honoring five seniors, followed by Oregon later that afternoon.
