Washington finishes fourth in regionals semifinal with a score of 195.850

Washington advanced to the second round of regionals, finishing fourth with a score of 195.850, according to an April 3 announcement. UCLA led the competition with a score of 197.450, followed by Minnesota at 196.975 and Iowa at 196.750.

The result means that Washington’s season ends just short of advancing to the third round.

During the meet, Washington began on beam and scored a total of 48.625 points, with Deiah Moody leading the rotation by earning a score of 9.850. Lana Navarro and Chelsea Hallinan each contributed scores of 9.775, while Kristin Lin and Olivia Oppegard both added scores of 9.750.

On floor exercise, Washington delivered its strongest rotation with a team total of 49.200 points; Caitlin McWilliams achieved the highest individual mark for the Huskies on this event with a score of 9.875, followed by Navarro’s season-high matching performance at 9.850.

The team moved next to vault where they recorded another total score of 48.625; Lilly Tubbs and Mary McDonough led this rotation by scoring matching marks of 9.775 each.

Finishing on bars, Washington posted its second-best event total for the night at 49.125 points; Moody and Tubbs again led their teammates by scoring identical marks at 9.850 apiece.

Kristin Lin completed all four events as an all-around competitor for Washington and finished her night with an overall tally of 39.075 points.
