The Washington gymnastics team will compete against San José State in the opening round of the NCAA Regionals on April 2 at Gil Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon. The meet is scheduled for 2 p.m. Pacific Time and will be streamed on ESPN+ with Kennedy Baker and Pete Dellaria providing commentary.

This matchup determines which team advances to the second round of regionals, where they would join UCLA, Minnesota, and Iowa for a chance to progress further in the tournament.

Washington’s lineup features several individual qualifiers: Deiah Moody (bars, beam), Lilly Tubbs (bars, beam), Chelsea Hallinan (beam), Kristin Lin (beam), and Caitlin McWilliams (floor). Moody has appeared in every bars and beam lineup this season, matching her season-high score of 9.900 on bars against Sacramento State and achieving a career-high 9.925 on beam versus Minnesota. Tubbs has contributed consistently on vault—where she holds a career-high of 9.875—and added beam to her events this year with a personal best of 9.925 against Sacramento State.

Hallinan has anchored Washington’s beam lineup throughout the season and recorded a career-best score of 9.975 against Minnesota. Lin has competed in all beam lineups for Washington this year, highlighted by a top mark of 9.925 at the Cal Quad Meet. McWilliams has been key on floor exercise with a career-high score of 9.925 earned during competition against Illinois.

San José State brings its own group of individual qualifiers: Kaviana Jurries (vault), Sophie Patterson (vault, beam), Mikaela Pitts (vault), and Samantha Macasu (bars). Jurries’ top vault score is 9.900; Patterson’s bests are a vault score of 9.875 and a beam mark of 9.925; Pitts holds a vault high-score record at 9.925; Macasu’s highest bar routine scored her a personal best at 9.900.

Washington will begin Thursday’s session competing first on bars before rotating through vault, floor exercise, then finishing on balance beam.
