The Washington Huskies men’s baseball team will finish their Southern California road trip by playing against Pepperdine on Tuesday, March 23. The first pitch is set for 12:35 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with live stats available online.

This matchup comes as the Huskies look to build on recent performances, including a strong showing in their weekend series against No. 13 USC and a decisive midweek win over Saint Martin’s. Jackson Hotchkiss has been a standout, leading the team in home runs, doubles, and batting average despite limited starts this season. “Hotchkiss paces the team in home runs (6), doubles (6), is second in total bases (44), and third in total hits (20). Hotchkiss is 2-2 when facing left-handed pitchers and has a .429 average against right-handed pitchers,” according to team statistics.

Other notable contributions include Mic Paul hitting Washington’s ninth triple of the season—ranking tenth nationally—and Braeden Terry leading the squad with 24 hits so far. Colton Bower continues his offensive streak with a season-best five-game hitting run and leads the team in RBIs. Tomy Brandenburg has also delivered consistent relief pitching for Washington.

Daniel Porras was recently named Big Ten Freshman of the Week after an impressive week at bat, becoming only the second Husky this season to receive such honors following Bower’s recognition earlier this month. Head Coach Eddie Smith is now in his second year leading Washington after joining from Utah Valley ahead of last season.

Looking ahead, after Tuesday’s contest at Pepperdine, Washington will return home to host Northwestern for a three-game series at Husky Ballpark.
