The University of Washington Men’s Tennis Team is set to play against No. 46 Oregon on March 21 at the Nordstrom Tennis Center in Seattle. The match, scheduled for 2 p.m., marks a Pacific Northwest Big Ten clash as the Huskies look to improve their season record.

This matchup is significant as it will be the Ducks’ first visit to Montlake as members of the Big Ten Conference. The long-standing rivalry between the two teams continues, with this being their 151st meeting. Washington currently leads the series with a record of 132-17-1.

The Huskies enter the contest after splitting results last weekend against Purdue and Indiana. Several players are on winning streaks: Daniel Bien ended a nine-match winless run with a victory over Indiana’s Aryan Badlani, Stephane Kamendje has secured two consecutive wins and reached nine dual wins this season, while Soham Purohit has achieved ten wins this year and is close to matching his career high in doubles victories.

Oregon comes into Saturday’s match ranked No. 46 nationally, holding a 12-3 record. The Ducks feature one player ranked No. 115 in singles and a doubles team ranked No. 34. They are currently on a three-match unbeaten streak after recent wins over Indiana, Purdue, and Northwestern.

Looking ahead, Washington will travel next weekend for matches against Nebraska and Wisconsin. The team will face No. 45 Nebraska in Lincoln on Friday night before heading to Madison for a Sunday match against No. 30 Wisconsin.
