The No. 20 Washington Huskies softball team, holding a 34-9 overall record and an undefeated 15-0 mark in Big Ten play, will travel to Eugene for a three-game series against Oregon starting Friday, April 17.

This matchup is significant as both teams are ranked nationally and have strong records in conference play. The first two games of the series will be streamed on Big Ten Plus, while the Sunday finale will air on Big Ten Network with Elise Woodward and Amanda Freed providing commentary.

The Huskies enter the weekend after sweeping Minnesota at home, maintaining their status as the only undefeated team in Big Ten competition this season. Standout performances included Sophi Mazzola batting .556 and Alexis DeBoer hitting her first grand slam of her sophomore year. Earlier setbacks occurred during a week at Stanford where Washington went 1-3, marking just their second time losing back-to-back games this season.

Throughout March, Washington extended its winning streak to 20 games and achieved four conference sweeps while outscoring opponents by nearly a hundred runs over sixteen games. Individual accolades were earned by Morgan Reimer (D1 Softball National Pitcher of the Week), Sophia Ramuno (Big Ten Co-Pitcher of the Week), and Kaycie Burdick (Big Ten Freshman of the Week). Several players also received midseason recognition from Softball America based on their positions.

Oregon enters the series ranked No. 18 in ESPN’s poll with an eight-game winning streak and has been dominant at home with a 15-1 record this year. Historically, Washington leads Oregon with a 69-37 all-time record but trails since both teams joined the Big Ten Conference.

Looking ahead, both programs seek to strengthen their positions within conference standings as postseason play approaches.
