Washington is set to participate in the Penn Relays from April 23 to 25, with athletes competing at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. The event will feature individual and relay races, with live coverage available throughout the week on Flotrack.

The Penn Relays are notable for Washington, as the team has achieved significant milestones there over the past two years. Last season, Nathan Green was named Performer of the Meet after anchoring victories for the Husky men’s team in both the distance medley relay and the 4xMile relay. These wins marked the first time that Washington’s men’s program secured wheels—the signature trophy of the Penn Relays. In 2024, Washington’s women won their first-ever Penn Relay title by setting a collegiate record in the 4×800-meter event.

This year’s competition begins Thursday with Julia David-Smith scheduled to run in the 1,500-meters and joining Josephine Welin in the 5,000-meters race. On Friday, both men’s and women’s teams will compete in distance medley relay championships; these events are slated for late morning Pacific time.

Saturday’s schedule includes Washington contesting several relays: women’s 4x1500m at 9:40 a.m., men’s 4xMile at 10:05 a.m., and women’s 4x800m at 11:05 a.m., all Pacific time slots.

The Huskies’ recent successes have raised expectations for this year’s meet as they aim to add another wheel to their collection.
