The Washington Huskies softball team, ranked No. 22, will host the No. 7 UCLA Bruins for their final home series of the season starting April 24 in Seattle.

This matchup is significant as it marks the last set of home games for the Huskies before postseason play and includes several special events recognizing players and alumni. The first two games will be broadcast on Big Ten Network, with Sunday’s finale available on Big Ten Plus.

Friday night will feature “Huskies for a Cure,” where all roster members wear patches representing causes important to them. Saturday is Alumni Day, honoring past players who contributed to building Husky Softball’s culture. On Sunday, Senior Day will recognize pitcher Sophia Ramuno, who transferred from Cal Poly and has been a key contributor during her two seasons at Washington.

The Huskies enter this series with a record of 34-12 overall and 15-3 in Big Ten play. Their recent performance included five conference sweeps this season and notable individual achievements such as Morgan Reimer being named D1 Softball National Pitcher of the Week in March and Kaycie Burdick earning Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors.

UCLA comes into Montlake leading the conference with a record of 41-5 overall and tied for second-best in conference play at 16-2. The Bruins are currently on a twelve-game winning streak and lead several statistical categories within the Big Ten.

Washington holds an all-time record of 39-74 against UCLA but won two out of three games during their last home series against them in 2024. This weekend’s contests provide an opportunity for Washington to improve its standing ahead of postseason competition.
