The University of Washington men’s rowing team announced on Apr. 7 that it will face Oregon State in a dual regatta this Saturday at Vancouver Lake in Washington. The event will feature the No. 1-ranked Huskies and the No. 21-ranked Beavers.

This matchup is significant as it brings together two ranked collegiate rowing programs for a series of competitive races, providing an opportunity for both teams to test their crews ahead of upcoming events.

According to the announcement, there will be three races: one eights race and two fours races, with multiple crews from both universities participating in each category. The schedule lists the Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, and Third Varsity Eight racing at 11:00 a.m., followed by two waves of Varsity Four races at noon and 12:45 p.m.

The university stated there will not be live video coverage or live timing available for this event. Fans are encouraged to follow updates on the @UW_Rowing X (Twitter) account for results and highlights.

After this dual meet with Oregon State, Washington’s men’s rowing team will have two weeks to prepare for its next major competition against California. That rivalry race is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 at Redwood Shores in the Bay Area.
