The University of Washington Men’s Tennis Team is set to play two Big Ten matches on March 27 and March 29, taking on No. 54 Nebraska in Lincoln and No. 35 Wisconsin in Madison.

These matchups mark the Huskies’ first trips as Big Ten members to both cities. The team will look to improve its conference record after last weekend’s result against Oregon.

The match against Nebraska is scheduled for Friday at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center, while Sunday’s contest against Wisconsin will take place at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium. Livestreaming and live stats for both matches will be available through the respective schools’ men’s tennis pages, with links provided via Washington’s social media channels on match day.

Brett Pearson and Soham Purohit continue their presence in doubles rankings, currently standing at No. 89 after debuting at No. 62 during preseason rankings and reaching a peak of No. 42 earlier this season. In singles play, Stephane Kamendje recorded his first Big Ten win against Purdue’s Henrik Villanger, while Daniel Bien notched a victory over Indiana’s Aryan Badlani.

The Huskies have recently ended a five-match doubles point drought by winning two of their last three doubles points. Kamendje paired with Rohan Belday for his first Big Ten doubles win against Purdue, while Nikola Plavsic and Bien also earned their first conference doubles victory together versus Oregon.

Nebraska enters Friday’s matchup ranked No. 54 with a record of 9-8, featuring one player ranked No. 84 nationally in singles competition. The Huskers are coming off losses to USC and UCLA but recently broke a four-match losing streak with a win over Northwestern.

Wisconsin holds an overall record of 11-5 entering Sunday’s match and has one player ranked at No. 75 in singles play. The Badgers also lost recent matches to UCLA and USC but split results during their previous homestand.

Looking ahead, Washington returns home next weekend for its final homestand before postseason play begins.
