The Whitman Blues, featuring former University Prep athlete Hawthorne Moody, claimed an 8-7 win over the George Fox Bruins in their NCAA Division III baseball game held at noon on Sunday, March 8.

The contest was played at Borleske Stadium and marked the third meeting between the two teams this season. In their previous contest on Saturday, March 7, the Blues fell 5-3 to the Bruins.

Moody pitched 4.1 innings and tallied five strikeouts.

The Blues are set to face the Puget Sound Loggers at Borleske Stadium at noon on Saturday, March 14, in their next matchup.
