The city of Seattle is looking for a consultant to take charge of the City's Equitable Communities Initiative Task Force (ECI).
Job requirements include availability starting November 2020 with at least a 7-month commitment. The contract for the project cannot be more than $200,000, according to a press release from the city.
Those who apply should have an understanding of the city's Race and Social Justice Initiative, know community stakeholders, can work both in-person and virtually, and has a record of not only innovation but also execution of transparent techniques and processes.
Proposals are due on Oct. 19 by close of business, according to the press release.
The ECI task force is made up of 35 black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) community leaders who's goal is to engage the community in making recommendations dealing with city programs, policy, and budgetary decisions. Their suggestions will be used to help both present and future priorities in those communities including how to disperse the recently announced $100 million budget.
