Visit Seattle adds three new board members for 2021. | Stock Photo
Three new faces are joining the Visit Seattle Board this year, the agency said in a February release.
Joining the board are Trey Lamont, Zahoor Ahmed and Beth Knox.
"We are excited to welcome three dynamic new members to our Board of Directors," Visit Seattle President and CEO Tom Norwalk said in the release.
Lamont is the owner and sous chef of Jerk Shack, a Caribbean dinner club noted in publications such as Seattle Times and Seattle Magazine for its warm hospitality and authentic, scratch-made cooking.
Ahmed is the CFO and vice president of hotel operations at R.C. Hedreen Co. Ahmed's company has been involved in the development, management and ownership of hospitality names such as Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency Seattle, Renaissance Seattle Hotel and Hyatt at Olive 8.
Knox is the president of the Seattle Sports Commission. For more than 30 years, she has been involved in the city's sporting and live entertainment industries. She was also a leader in notable events such as the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games, Seafair, Bumbershoot and more. Knox has been decorated with the Puget Sound Business Journal Woman of Influence award and, Smart Meeting Magazine Planner of the Year 2018. She was also inducted into the Washington Festivals and Events Hall of Fame.
"Their unique expertise and perspectives of the city will provide crucial contributions to our Board as we move into recovery in 2021," Norwalk said.
