Bacco Cafe has, for more than two decades, been a popular place to grab breakfast and lunch on Pine Street in Seattle.

"Bacco Cafe was originally opened in 1994, and I took over in 2008," chef and owner Heong Soon Park told Seattle City Wire. Park is the go-to person to learn the cafe's history.

"It started as a juice bar called Gravity Bar back in the early '90s, just at the lower level of Bacco where our kitchen is located now, and has been expanding ever since," Park said. "With high demand for breakfast and lack of breakfast options in the market, it started serving breakfast in the late '90s."

The cafe, located at 86 Pine Street, saw a need and has been filling it ever since, a marketing notion that has become Bacco's bread and butter.

"Bacco Cafe is a small, independent local breakfast spot, and we source most of the ingredients from local vendors," Park said. "Our goal is simple: serving good and local food for the locals and tourists within a reasonable price."

Bacco Cafe is well-known for this fusion of Pacific Northwest cuisine with modern fare "in an invigorating nature," sure to refresh the palates of its customers, according to its website.

The breakfast and lunch cafe is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily with a menu that includes nutty oatmeal, omelets and eggs prepared multiple ways, breakfast sandwiches, brioche French toast, pork sausage biscuits and gravy, Dungeness crab salad and sides that include applewood smoked bacon and Greek yogurt. For thirsty customers, there's Bacco's famous juice bar, cocktails that include a pomegranate mimosa, beer, cider, wine, coffee and a variety of nonalcoholic beverages.

Bacco Cafe remains walk-in only -- no reservations accepted -- and is open for responsibly limited seating through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and also offers delivery through a third-party vendor.

"We have our beautiful outdoor seating available," Bacco Cafe said in a Facebook post this past November. "Also, you can find us On Uber Eats and DoorDash. We love you, Seattle! Stay safe! We got this!"
