Median home prices in Seattle rose to $900,000 in the third quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Seattle rose by $59,651 while total sales increased by 23.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 1,719 homes sold, with a median sale price of $900,000 - a 7.1% increase over the $840,350 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,396 homes sold in Seattle in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Seattle for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,956, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
