April: Home prices in Seattle increased

The median sale price of a home sold in April in Seattle rose by $162,000 while total sales decreased by 18.9 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April, there were 429 homes sold, with a median sale price of $1,067,000 - a 17.9 percent increase over the $905,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 529 homes sold in Seattle in April 2021.

The median sales tax in Seattle for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,956, approximately 0.5 percent of the median home sale price for April.
