Q2: Home prices in Seattle increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2022 in Seattle rose by $105,000 while total sales decreased by 18.1 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June, there were 1,379 homes sold, with a median sale price of $1,025,000 - an 11.4 percent increase over the $920,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,684 homes sold in Seattle in the second quarter of 2021.

The median sales tax in Seattle for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,956, approximately 0.5 percent of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2022.
