Man Injured Following Capitol Hill Dispute

A man was injured after a dispute escalated to a shooting in a Capitol Hill neighborhood Friday afternoon.

Just after 2:30 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to reports of a person shot in the 1700 block of 17th Avenue. When police arrived, they found a man with injuries to his hand and torso. Seattle Fire crews treated the victim at the scene and determined his injuries were non-life threatening.

The victim told officers he was shot in a parking lot following a dispute with the occupants of a vehicle. The suspects immediately left the scene and were not located by officers.
