Rep. Pramila Jayapal, the U.S. Congresswoman serving Washington's 7th district, shared a series of tweets commenting on current issues. Each post reflects her stance on events and legislative matters.

In her first tweet on March 29, 2025, Rep. Jayapal raised concerns about federal funding cuts, writing, "Dr. Nelson, VP of Precision Oncology at @fredhutch, and his lab’s work are critical to developing cures for many different kinds of cancer. Without federal funding, their work could stop. That is what Trump and Musk are doing by cutting funding in Seattle & across the country." The Congresswoman criticized the actions of former President Trump and Elon Musk, emphasizing the potential negative impact on cancer research.

Later on the same day, she reminded the public about an important enrollment deadline, stating, "Reminder: The last day to enroll in Medicare this year is this coming Monday, March 31! If you’re eligible, make sure to enroll before the deadline." As the enrollment period for Medicare came to a close, she urged those eligible to take necessary actions.

In a subsequent tweet, Jayapal addressed financial regulation, asserting, "Senate Republicans voted to let big banks charge you higher overdraft fees." Through her post, she highlighted a recent vote by Senate Republicans affecting banking fees, pointing to a policy outcome she finds troublesome.
