Afternoon Shooting in Rainier Valley Injures Two

A man from a parked vehicle fired at the victims’ vehicle as it drove by injuring two men. 

Around 1:30 p.m., police responded to the shooting location near the intersection of 36th Avenue South and South Adams Street. Officers found two men with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. 

Police provided aid to the injured men before Seattle Fire arrived at the scene. SFD transported the 55-year-old and 59-year-old male victims to Harborview Medical Center for further evaluation. 

It was reported to police two male suspects exited out of a black sedan. One of the suspects retrieved a rifle from the vehicle and shot at the victims’ vehicle as it drove by the intersection.

Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives will lead the investigation.
