Rep. Pramila Jayapal, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 7th district, shared several updates via social media on December 3, 2024. Her messages addressed issues ranging from local disaster relief to national healthcare policies and corporate accountability.

On December 3, 2024, Rep. Jayapal informed King County residents about potential financial relief for those affected by a recent wind storm. She urged individuals to check their eligibility and apply for reimbursement for any property damage incurred during the storm. "KING COUNTY RESIDENTS: If your home or property was damaged in the recent wind storm, you may qualify for reimbursement for your losses."

Later that day, she reminded her followers of a significant healthcare policy achievement credited to Democrats. She highlighted that seniors on Medicare with diabetes are now capped at paying $35 per month for insulin, emphasizing ongoing efforts to reduce prescription drug costs nationwide. "REMINDER: Thanks to Democrats, millions of seniors on Medicare who have diabetes now pay no more than $35/month for their insulin."

In another post on the same day, Rep. Jayapal expressed her commitment to holding corporations accountable for misconduct and supporting affected communities in seeking justice. She stressed the importance of preventing future incidents through vigilant advocacy and defense of community rights. "Far too often, corporations get away with a slap on the wrist for their wrongdoings."
