Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Washington's 7th district since 2017, has recently shared her thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets. These posts address topics ranging from international refugee crises to significant anniversaries in U.S. legal history and notable achievements in sports.

On January 22, 2025, Rep. Jayapal criticized former President Donald Trump's policies concerning refugees. She expressed strong disapproval by stating "Horrible. Inhumane. Cruelty just for the sake of cruelty." Jayapal highlighted the plight of thousands of refugees stranded globally and asserted that "America should be better than this."

Later the same day, she marked the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, emphasizing its significance following its overturning by the Dobbs decision three years prior. In her tweet posted at 17:53 UTC, she declared "As one of the 1 in 4 women in this country who has had an abortion, I will never stop fighting for our right to make our own decisions about our bodies."

In another post at 20:46 UTC on January 22, Rep. Jayapal congratulated Ichiro Suzuki on his election to the Baseball Hall of Fame as the first-ever Japanese player to achieve this honor. She celebrated his impact on both the Mariners and Seattle by stating "You’ve had an unforgettable impact on both the Mariners and our city."
