Rep. Pramila Jayapal, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 7th district, shared her views on recent political developments through a series of tweets. Her statements addressed issues related to executive orders and environmental policies.

On January 23, 2025, Rep. Jayapal expressed her stance on birthright citizenship by stating, "Good. Ending birthright citizenship through executive order is plainly unconstitutional."

Later that day, she commented on environmental policies with reference to actions taken by former President Trump: "President Trump’s executive orders on climate will do enormous damage to our environment and communities across the country. The climate crisis is real, and rolling back all of the progress we’ve made in this fight only hurts our ability to protect our planet." This tweet was posted at 20:49 UTC.

In another post made at the same time, Rep. Jayapal criticized further environmental policy decisions: "From expanding drilling on wildlife refuges to rolling back EV incentives, Trump is giving Big Oil the green light to pollute the water we drink and the air we breathe. His main concern is making his rich buddies even richer, even if that means making your family less healthy."
