Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a U.S. Congress member representing Washington's 7th district since 2017, has recently shared her views on several issues through social media posts. Her tweets have addressed concerns about privacy and executive orders affecting transgender athletes.

On February 6, 2025, Rep. Jayapal claimed that former President Trump had compromised personal data security by handing over Social Security Numbers to Elon Musk and his associates. "ICYMI: Trump handed over your Social Security Number to Elon Musk and his cronies."

Later the same day, she announced joining more than 150 House Democrats in seeking explanations from the Treasury Secretary regarding Elon Musk's access to sensitive information and classified Treasury payment systems. She expressed efforts to prevent misuse of such data by wealthy individuals. In another tweet posted on February 6, 2025, Rep. Jayapal criticized an executive order signed by former President Trump that bans transgender women from participating in sports at federally-funded schools. She described this action as harmful and invasive towards women and girls nationwide. "Yesterday, Trump signed an executive order banning transgender women from competing in sports at federally-funded schools."
