Rep. Pramila Jayapal, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 7th district, has recently shared her views on social media regarding current political issues. Her comments address concerns about Republican policies and actions under the Trump administration.

On February 15, 2025, Rep. Jayapal expressed criticism towards Republicans, stating that they are beginning to realize the detrimental impact of "illegal and unconstitutional cuts" on their own districts and states. She remarked, "This is what happens when you kowtow to your King instead of standing up for your own Constitutional powers."

Later that day, she commented on the promises made by former President Trump and Republicans regarding price reductions. In her post from February 15, 2025, she noted that nearly a month into Trump's presidency, there have been no efforts to lower costs for poor and working families in America. Instead, she argued that his policies are increasing costs: "We’re almost one month into the Trump presidency, and he has done NOTHING to reduce costs for America’s poor and working families — in fact, his policies are actually increasing costs."

In another post from February 15, 2025, Rep. Jayapal criticized a funding freeze implemented by Trump and Elon Musk. She stated that this freeze is not only affecting efforts to feed hungry children and cure diseases but also harming programs aimed at combating child sexual abuse and exploitation: "Trump and Elon’s funding freeze isn’t just hurting efforts to feed hungry kids and cure deadly diseases... It’s also devastating programs that fight child sexual abuse and exploitation — literally helping criminals get away with these crimes."
