Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 7th district, has shared her views on recent political developments through a series of tweets. Jayapal, who has been in office since 2017 after succeeding Jim McDermott, voiced her concerns about former President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

On March 4, 2025, Rep. Jayapal tweeted about an upcoming national television appearance by Donald Trump. She stated: "Tomorrow night, Donald Trump is going to go on national TV and tell a bunch of lies." She further criticized Trump and the Republicans for their lack of action in reducing costs for working Americans.

In another tweet on the same day, she expressed disapproval of Trump's international alliances: "Let's be clear — this is not about bringing peace." Jayapal accused Trump of aligning with Russia and other authoritarian regimes instead of supporting democratic allies.

Later that day, Rep. Jayapal commented on the Republican Party's relationship with its constituents: "Republicans are running scared from their own constituents." She questioned what they might be fearful of without providing further details.
