Rep. Pramila Jayapal, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 7th district, has taken to social media to express her views on recent actions by former President Donald Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk. Her comments, posted on March 5 and 6, 2025, highlight concerns about aviation safety and the role of federal workers.

On March 5, Rep. Jayapal shared a statement from Sara Nelson, President of the Flight Attendants Union (@afa_cwa), criticizing Trump and Musk for their approach to aviation safety. She emphasized that "If Trump and Musk cared about aviation safety, they would be listening to the people on the front lines, not trying to fire the federal workers who keep us safe."

The following day, on March 6, she posted a brief message targeting bureaucrats with high salaries: "Hey DOGE, I found some unelected bureaucrats with bloated salaries!" This tweet was accompanied by links presumably providing further context or evidence.

Later that day, Rep. Jayapal expressed gratitude towards her constituents for their active engagement regarding the actions of Trump and Musk. She encouraged continued involvement by stating: "I’m so grateful to all of my constituents who are calling in to express their concern, worry, and outrage about everything that Trump and Musk are doing." She urged them to "keep calling, staying engaged, and resisting," asserting that their efforts are making a difference.
