Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Washington's 7th district since 2017, has publicly expressed her gratitude towards fellow legislators for their opposition to a Republican spending bill. Jayapal's comments were made in a series of tweets addressing the actions of certain senators.

On March 13, 2025, Rep. Jayapal thanked Senator Tina Smith for her stance against the Republican spending bill. In her tweet, she stated: "Thank you @SenTinaSmith for standing up for the American people and refusing to vote for cloture or passage of a horrific Republican spending bill that gives the keys to Musk and Trump to steal from the American people and slash critical programs that people desperately need."

In another post on March 14, 2025, she acknowledged Senator Adam Schiff's decision to vote against cloture on the same funding proposal. Her message read: "Thank you @SenAdamSchiff for voting no on cloture and the terrible Republican funding bill. We appreciate your standing up for the people and refusing to give this slush fund to Trump and Musk."

Later that day, Rep. Jayapal extended her appreciation towards Senator LBR for their strength in opposing the GOP funding bill as well: "Thank you to my dear friend @SenatorLBR for your strength and conviction for voting no on cloture and passage of this terrible GOP funding bill."
