Rep. Pramila Jayapal, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 7th district since 2017, shared several statements via social media regarding her recent activities and political stances.

On March 15, 2025, Jayapal expressed her appreciation for being recognized at the NEA’s Higher Education Conference. She stated: "It was so great to join educators from across the country today at NEA’s Higher Education Conference — and to accept their Friend of Higher Education Award! Education is the bedrock of our democracy and something I will always fight to protect."

In a post dated March 16, 2025, Jayapal criticized actions by the Trump administration concerning environmental protections. She posed a rhetorical question about America's rivers: "Do you want America’s rivers to look like this? Trump does. His EPA is ripping away protections that keep our water clean, air safe, and communities healthy — all to make his billionaire buddies even richer."

Later on March 16, she addressed remarks made by Elon Musk regarding federal benefit programs. She highlighted her concerns with a statement: "ICYMI: Elon Musk has once again called for cutting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. He and Trump are coming for your hard-earned benefits."
