On March 17, 2025, Rep. Jayapal criticized former President Donald Trump and the Republican Party for attempting to cut $880 billion from Medicaid. She argued that this effort was intended to facilitate tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. She stated: "Trump and Republicans are still trying to cut $880 BILLION from Medicaid — all so they can give a giant tax cut to the richest 1%. They’re betraying the most vulnerable people in America. Democrats must keep fighting to protect Medicaid."

Later that day, she accused Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk of falsely claiming individuals were deceased in order to reduce Social Security benefits and provide tax breaks for billionaires. She wrote: "Trump and Elon Musk are pretending people are dead so they can kick more Americans off Social Security and claw back hard-earned benefits. All so Republicans can pass a giant tax break for their billionaire buddies."

In another post honoring Women's History Month, Rep. Jayapal recognized Dr. Rosie Rimando-Chareunsap, Chancellor of Seattle Colleges, for her leadership in expanding educational opportunities for historically excluded students. She remarked: "In honor of #WomensHistoryMonth, I want to recognize Dr. Rosie Rimando-Chareunsap, Chancellor of Seattle Colleges. Thanks to her leadership, opportunities have been unlocked for students historically excluded from higher education."
