Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 7th district since 2017, has expressed her views on several significant issues through recent social media posts. Known for her advocacy and legislative work, Jayapal's tweets address concerns about consumer protection, immigration law, and military policies.

On March 18, 2025, Rep. Jayapal criticized actions that she believes negatively impact consumers across the United States. She highlighted the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) role in challenging major corporations for the benefit of American citizens. In her post, she stated: "This move will hurt consumers across this country. The FTC has stood up to major corporations and won — all on behalf of the American people. Trump said he’d lower costs on day one, but instead, he has only benefitted his billionaire corporate donors."

On March 19, 2025, Jayapal addressed President Trump's use of historical legislation to justify actions against individuals in the United States without due process. She emphasized the need to repeal the Alien Enemies Act by supporting a bill sponsored by Rep. Ilhan Omar: "Trump is using a law from the 1700s to discriminate against people in the United States and remove them, regardless of their asylum claims and without any due process. Congress must repeal the Alien Enemies Act — that is why I’m proud to sponsor @Ilhan’s bill to do just that."

Later that day, Jayapal shared news regarding a judicial decision affecting transgender individuals serving in the military. She referenced Judge Reyes' ruling against Trump's ban as discriminatory: "Bullies: Stop bullying. Judge Reyes BLOCKS Trump's ban on transgender people serving in the military, saying it is 'soaked in animus' and unconstitutionally discriminates."
