Pramila Jayapal, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Washington's 7th district, has taken to social media to address several pressing issues. Her recent tweets focus on legislative efforts and policy critiques.

On March 19, 2025, Jayapal announced her introduction of the No Round Up Act. She stated that the act aims to repeal an outdated law used historically against Japanese Americans and Arab Americans. Jayapal expressed concern over its potential use by former President Trump, emphasizing the need for its repeal to protect citizens. "ICYMI: I introduced the No Round Up Act to repeal the outdated law that was used in shameful periods of our country's history to round up Japanese Americans and Arab Americans. Trump is trying to use this law now --it needs to be repealed to protect all of us.…"

Later that day, she criticized attempts by Trump, Elon Musk, and Republicans regarding Medicaid policies. Jayapal highlighted Medicaid's role in providing healthcare for 72 million low-income Americans and pledged continuous Democratic opposition against these actions. "Trump, Elon Musk, and Republicans are trying to destroy Medicaid — the program that provides health care to 72 million poor Americans."

In another post on March 19, 2025, Jayapal addressed environmental concerns linked with Trump's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). She claimed efforts were underway to dismantle climate protections which could prevent thousands of premature deaths and save billions in health costs over seven years. She accused Trump of prioritizing wealth accumulation over public welfare. "Trump’s EPA is trying to end countless climate protections."
