Rep. Pramila Jayapal recently took to social media to express her concerns regarding directives impacting naturalization processes in Washington and nationwide. Serving as a U.S. Congress member for Washington's 7th District, Rep. Jayapal has been a consistent voice in advocating for immigrants and their rights.

On March 28, 2025, Rep. Jayapal highlighted, "ACRS is the largest provider of naturalization assistance in Washington. This cruel and completely baseless directive will hurt our state and the lives of those eligible for naturalization."

The same day, she further explained in another post, "The CINAS grant is a USCIS financial assistance award that they have been awarded almost every single year for the past 13 years. And despite being one of the top performers in this country in this sector, they were told to end all work, effective immediately."

Her discontent with the directive extended into a broader critique of U.S. policies under the current administration. Rep. Jayapal remarked, "It’s clear that Trump wants to eliminate immigrants from this country, even those who are using legal pathways. It’s disgusting and we won’t stand for it."
