Digital Fortress acquires three new locations in Portland, Oregon

Digital Fortress, a data center internet service provider based in Washington State, will locate three new facilities in Portland, Oregon, company officials announced on Jan. 19.

The company recently acquired another data firm Atmosera, Inc. of Beaverton, Oregon which will add three new data center facilities in Beaverton and Portland.

Digital Fortress provides what is known as “colocation,” the housing of private computer servers, networking equipment and bandwidth (data transfer) in a third-party data center.

"In my new role as CEO of Digital Fortress, I am delighted to kick off 2021 with a transformative acquisition for the Company,” Juan Saca, chief executive officer for Digital Fortress told PR Newswire. “Our team is looking forward to welcoming Atmosera Colocation customers to the Digital Fortress family. This acquisition expands our geographic and infrastructure footprint, adds important customers in a highly strategic location and provides valuable opportunities for expansion in the Portland region."

The report said the company has experienced rapid growth in recent months locating new facilities in New Jersey, Illinois and Colorado.

The downtown Portland location is next to the Pittock Building at 921 SW Washington St.

Officials said the Portland location is ideally situated to do business with Asia-Pacific companies using undersea cables to connect with such enterprises.
