Summary

Learn how to earn income from your art by licensing your products to third party vendors

Description

Success in the arts for many means selling an original, making a greeting card (and selling it), or getting a commission to paint, draw or photograph a child or a pet.

But imagine earning money from your art at the same time you are making more art, while you are at a day job, even while you are eating dinner or traveling. That is the wonder of

passive income from renting (aka “licensing”) your art. Third parties assume the responsibility for making, distributing, even collecting on invoices.

Third parties range from magazines, newspapers and book publishers to greeting card and puzzle companies. There are even visual content rental agencies (aka “stock” agencies)

that handle all aspects of licensing for a commission. Explore this often-unknown but very important aspect of doing a successful art business. Learn about resources, transforming

your art into digital format, finding customers and stock agencies, terms, negotiating, and pricing. For all artists working in all mediums, 2d and 3d, watercolor to ceramics,

photography to jewelry. Bring your questions - and any experiences to share!
