Summer At The Center, Presented By Premera Blue Cross, Packed With Fun, Festive, And Free Activities

Seattle Center to offer all-ages programs throughout the season for fun in the sun.

SEATTLE – Seattle Center heads into the summer season with a packed roster of events and experiences. Featuring a wide variety of fun, accessible, and enriching summer experiences for all ages – including cultural and music festivals, movies, weekly fitness classes, and more.

Visitors can discover a variety of gardens and walkways offering poetry, plant life, and outdoor art. They can listen to music in the International Fountain or dip their toes in more modest waterworks along the way. Children can test their climbing skills at Artists at Play or partake in summer classes and camps at Seattle Center resident organizations, while hungry visitors can stop in Seattle Center Armory for culinary delights and virtual global travel at free weekend ethnic and cultural celebrations. The annual outdoor festivals attract large audiences, and still more to come for Climate Pledge Arena concerts, Summer Fitness, movies, and concerts at Mural Amphitheatre. No two visits are alike.

Here are just some of the events and attractions at Seattle Center this summer:

Movies at the Mural presented by Prime Video (MATM)

Featuring classics and new hits, Movies at the Mural shows free films at the gently sloping Mural Amphitheatre lawn with the Space Needle looming above the state-of-the-art 40-foot screen. Visitors are welcome to picnic and enjoy The Princess Bride, July 28; Clueless, Aug. 4; Jaws, Aug. 11; Dreamgirls, Aug. 18; and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Aug. 25.

Pridefest

The largest free Pride Festival in the country, happening Sunday, June 25th from noon-8pm at Seattle Center. The event immediately follows the downtown Pride Parade. Three stages, three beverage gardens, over 100 artists, over 100 exhibitors including festival food vendors. Featuring musical performances from, Angel Bonilla, who is the first transgender contestant on The Voice, Thorgy Thor, DJ Josh Peace, Kylie Sonique Love and more!

CHEQ Bite of Seattle

Seattle’s original food and beverage festival featuring 200+ food and specialty vendors is back, July 21-23 at Seattle Center. With 50+ musical performances, including Sir Mix-A-Lot and Polyrhythmics, wine and beer gardens, and more!

Bumbershoot

The highly anticipated arts and music festival returns to Seattle Center on Labor Day Weekend, September 2-3. This year’s event marks the festival’s 50th anniversary, cementing its legacy as one of the oldest recurring festivals in the U.S. Featuring Sleater-Kinney, Zhu, AFI, Brittany Howard, The Revitalists, Jawbreaker, and more.

Seattle Center Art Tour presented by Alaska Airlines

Experience Seattle Center’s Public Art collection yourself with our self-guided Art Tour, presented by Alaska Airlines.

Summer Fitness presented by Virginia Mason Franciscan Health

Seattle Center hosts Workout Wednesdays from June 21 – August 23. Join us each Wednesday for Gentle Yoga at 5:30 pm and Zumba® classes at 6:30 pm. All classes are held outdoors on the campus grounds, are free, and are taught by certified instructors.

Artists at the Center (AATC)

Join us as we introduce emerging and established artists and celebrate their talent on the newly revitalized Seattle Center campus. These free performances are open to the public and run throughout the year.

Festál

Seattle Center Festál cultivates a deeper understanding of the cultures and ethnic diversity that contribute to the rich vibrancy of the Pacific Northwest. This unique series links together 24 free festivals presented on weekends from January to November, each with its own cultural focus, identity, and range of engaging activities. Take part in the Seattle Iranian Festival, Polish Festival Seattle, Naturalization Ceremony, Festival Sundiata presents Black Arts Fest, Seattle Arab Festival, A Day in Punjab, BrasilFest, Tibet Fest, and Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival, all happening during Summer at the Center.
