Felony Theft Suspect Arrested In University Village

Police arrested a notorious thief who had stolen approximately $23,000 in merchandise from a store in the University Village Shopping Center. 

Last Thursday around 6:00 p.m., the business’ asset protection team notified Community Response Group officers the frequent shoplifter had returned to the business and shoplifted again. 

Police were provided the description of the suspect and located him a short distance away as he was trying to escape from the location.  

During this incident, officers recovered a large bag full of merchandise from the store totaling $1,858.50 in value.   

The 42-year-old male suspect was arrested for investigation of theft and booked into King County Jail.
