Seattle Police arrested a 49-year-old male for brandishing a firearm Sunday evening in the Alki neighborhood.

Shortly after 7:00 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call reporting a male pulled out a gun and threatened the caller. Police arrived in the 3600 block of Beach Drive Southwest and contacted the 40-year-old male victim. Officers learned the suspect was upset about noise from the victim’s residence. According to the victim, the suspect demanded the victim close a balcony door before brandishing a silver pistol.

Police developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for felony harassment and attempted to contact the male at his residence but did not receive an answer.

SPD SWAT officers, along with members of the Hostage Negotiation Team, arrived on scene. Police applied for and were granted a search warrant. Prior to serving the warrant, the suspect exited the residence and was taken into custody. A handgun was recovered from the scene.

The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Felony Harassment.
