Rep. Pramila Jayapal, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 7th district, has been active on social media discussing significant political and historical issues. Her recent posts highlight her stance on healthcare policy, historical reflection, and support for scientific funding.

On February 19, 2025, Rep. Jayapal expressed concern over former President Donald Trump's endorsement of a plan by House Republicans to make changes to Medicaid. She emphasized the impact of such actions by stating "BREAKING: Trump just endorsed House Republicans’ plan to gut Medicaid, the program he said he would 'love and cherish.' Medicaid provides health coverage to 72 million Americans. Trump is trying to rip that away. Democrats are fighting to stop him."

In another post on the same day, Rep. Jayapal reflected on a significant event in American history related to civil rights and racial discrimination. She marked the anniversary of Executive Order 9066 with a call for vigilance against hate in all forms: "83 years ago, Executive Order 9066 forcibly relocated and incarcerated over 120,000 Japanese Americans. This will forever be one of the most shameful chapters of US history. Today, as we remember this dark time, we must recommit to rooting out all forms of hate in this country."

Additionally, she shared her participation in an event supporting scientific research funding alongside union members from UAW Local 4121: "So great to join @UAW4121 today to fight for NIH funding!" This tweet underscores her advocacy for increased investment in health research.
