Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a U.S. Congress member representing Washington's 7th district since 2017, recently shared several updates on social media. Her posts covered topics ranging from sports and community engagement to political criticism.

On March 20, 2025, Rep. Jayapal expressed her support for the University of Washington’s women’s basketball team as they entered the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2017. She encouraged her followers to support the team by stating "UW’s women’s basketball team is in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2017 — and their First Four game starts now! Go Huskies @UW_WBB!!! ".

The following day, on March 21, she reflected on a recent town hall meeting held in Northwest Seattle that attracted significant community participation. In her post, she wrote "On Tuesday, I hosted a town hall in Northwest Seattle where hundreds showed up to make their voices heard and engage in our democracy." She thanked attendees and encouraged others to sign up for email alerts from her office.

Later that day, Rep. Jayapal criticized changes affecting Social Security identity checks announced by Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Her tweet read "So Trump and Elon are now requiring seniors to go in-person for Social Security identity checks...but they’re also closing dozens of field offices across the country." She concluded with a strong statement: "Here’s the bottom line: they’re cutting Social Security."
