April is Autism Awareness Month, and the Seattle Police Department would like to recognize Officer Christopher Christman, a 27-year veteran currently assigned to SPD’s Education & Training Section. Ofc. Christman develops SPD training, including a class on Law Enforcement & Autism, which he has presented at both a multi-state regional and national level. In 2019 Ofc. Christman’s Law Enforcement & Autism class was selected by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission to be mandatory state-wide curriculum for every sworn law enforcement officer in Washington State.
