As another year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment and thank our King County community members for their continued support.
We’ve accomplished a lot in 2022 – from securing body-worn camera funding, to developing the Community Advisory Board – and we truly couldn’t have done it without you.

We also want to thank our deputies, call receivers and dispatchers, and all first responders who are welcoming in the New Year away from their families.

Before we start the celebrations, however, we want to share some important safety information to keep in mind:

• If you’re drinking, don’t get behind the wheel. Use a ride share or designated driver if you can’t find a couch for the night.

• Fireworks are prohibited in unincorporated King County. To report violators, call (206) 848-0800.

• New Year’s Eve/Day is one of the busiest times for our call center. Please keep 911 lines open for police, fire, and medical emergencies only. Non-emergency police reports can be submitted at reporttosheriff.org

We look forward to what 2023 holds and all that we can achieve.

We hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!
