Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 7th district, recently shared several statements on social media regarding current political issues and her legislative activities.

On December 11, 2024, Rep. Jayapal expressed gratitude towards her colleagues for their support in signing an amicus brief. She specifically mentioned Senators Cantwell, Warren, and Rosen along with numerous House members. The full list of signatories can be found at the end of the amicus brief. "I want to thank all the colleagues who recognized the real harms & signed our amicus brief: including @SenatorCantwell @SenWarren @SenJackyRosen as well as dozens of House members. Full list at end of amicus brief! Onward!"

Later that day, she addressed concerns over Republican actions perceived as attacks on transgender individuals within a national security bill context. Rep. Jayapal reaffirmed her commitment to supporting trans rights across the country, stating: "Republicans will take any excuse to attack trans kids — even in a national security bill." She assured trans people nationwide of her continued advocacy for their rights.

In another post from December 11, 2024, Rep. Jayapal criticized efforts by Republicans to dismantle a free tax filing service established by Democrats last year. She accused them of prioritizing wealthy interests over ordinary citizens' needs: "Remember the free tax filing service that Democrats established last year? Republicans are trying to take it away."
